limited edition of 50

this exclusive high-rendered print draws from erwin wurm’s recent but already iconic ‘flat sculptures’ series, praised by public institutions and private collectors alike. Light originates from a painting that the artist specifically created for this project. The word light is squeezed, flattened, and reduced to a very thin skin. The work becomes almost abstract and gives rise to a delicate fragility. This unique limited edition is the perfect recreation of the initially commissioned work painted by erwin wurm, with all its textures, reliefs, density of the brushstrokes movements’ and aura. Wurm reinvents sculpture by adopting a tongue-in-cheek attitude, as seen in his previous works; ‘fat cars’, ‘fat house’, his sausage-like characters in the ‘abstract sculptures’ series and his ‘one minute sculptures’.
