Subject and Style: Rich Baroque Revival or Eclectic design. The scene is highly complex: a proud lion dominates a rock, beneath which lies a reclining female figure (a nymph or allegorical figure). The entire base is a rocky landscape.

Material and Finish: Crafted entirely of solid, very heavy cast bronze. It features a beautiful, authentic dark patina, enhancing the sculptural details.

Base: The base serves as a pen tray. On the sides are two ink pots (the actual inkwells), surmounted by lion heads.

Ideal for collectors of antique bronzes, as a statement piece for a presidential desk, a notary's office, or for lovers of eclectic art.
