Stunning very large shell-shaped centerpiece in hand-hammered brass. This unique piece was produced by Renzo Cassetti in Italy during the 1970s. In amazing condition and with a gorgeous warm golden patina. This rare piece showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and distinctive hammering technique that characterize Cassetti's work, one of Italy's most renowned Florentine goldsmiths. Shaped like an elegant scallop shell, the bowl features a beautifully wavy profile with fluted lines and a richly textured hammered surface that enhances light reflection. Engraved on the bottom is “Ottone battuto a mano,” which translates to “Hand-Hammered Brass”. A unique and incredibly charming decorative piece, perfect as a centerpiece on a dining table or console table, or as a decorative bowl for a refined Mid-Century, Hollywood Regency, or contemporary interior. Dimension (cm): Width: 38 Depth: 40 Height: 8 A highly decorative and collectible Italian piece, embodying the finest tradition of Florentine metalwork. Amazing mid-century solid brass shell-shaped bowl. This lovely piece was designed in Italy during the 1960s by Renzo Cassetti Italia. The unique feature of this item is that, as you can see from the lower Italian words in the engraving, "fatto a mano", the piece is entirely handmade. More precisely, the brass was finely hand-hammered with its singular shell shape and signed by Renzo Cassetti. An elegant centrepiece, that is ideal to complete a midcentury living room with a maritime flair. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
