The clean silhouette and restrained material use reflect the functional character of danish design. This now-iconic floor lamp features a single brushed aluminium shade mounted on an adjustable arm, set on a slender steel stand with a round black base. The shade rotates and has ventilation perforations at the top. The combination of aluminium and black steel underscores the functional nature of this danish design. Dimensions: 42 × 18 × 130 (h) cm / 16.5 × 7.1 × 51.2 (h) in. Shade diameter: approx. 18 cm / 7.1 in. Source: danish lights – 1920 to now, pp. 104–105 and frandsen catalogue. The condition of this floor lamp is good, with age-appropriate signs of use. The base shows light superficial marks (see photo). The wiring has been checked by an electrician.
