The vase has a brown soapstone attached base with four feet. The carving of the vase is very detailed with a cord and bow showing movement. There is also a sprig of fruit some sort (perhaps grapes) of dangling from the mouth rim. The thinner areas show a translucence. The soapstone shows age with a soft non soapy feel to the stone.

There are no marks or labels.

MEASUREMENTS
3 ½ in (8.9 cm) wide x 2 in (5.1 cm) deep x 6 1/8 in (15.6 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 7.3 oz.

CONDITION
There is a piece missing on the end of one lower leaf. There are no other breaks, chips, cracks, or repairs. There are some tiny wear spots but not many. These take the form of tiny white specks. It has an overall perfect look.

The delicate sprig of fruit and flowing cord carving, highlighted by the stone's translucence, reveal a masterful hand in this timeless piece. See less
