This beautiful large Quimper faience plate showcases the timeless charm of French Breton craftsmanship. Measuring an impressive 12.5 inches in diameter, the piece features a serene hand-painted maritime scene in classic Quimper blue: a sailboat gliding across calm waters, framed by windswept trees and lush shoreline details. Floral motifs encircle the scalloped rim, adding elegance and balance to the central artwork.
The reverse is marked “MARINE / DÉCOR MAIN / HB QUIMPER / FRANCE,” confirming its hand-decorated origin from the renowned HB Quimper pottery. The artist’s initials also appear on the front, characteristic of authentic, individually painted Quimper pieces.
