Absolutely fabulous antique 19th century oil on canvas painting depicting an Arab man looking away from the artist. It has such beautiful color and delicate stroke, this is really a charming painting. The condition is quite worn as you can see, many areas of paint loss, a small rip, crazing, etc... This painting has a massive amount of character to it, and I find it insanely charming, if you like what you see in the photographs you're going to love this painting in person!
It measures 10" wide by 20" tall, and is unframed as shown. It is unsigned by the artist, but done on a Wadsworth Bros. & Howland canvas, out of Boston Massachusetts, so this is almost certainly done by an American artist in the mid to late 1800's!
