Two rare vintage midcentury bentwood stool by Baumann, France.
Inspired by Thonet's earlier famous models, these Baumann stools have a distinct midcentury feel due to the blond wood, and beautifully edged bentwood legs and connectors.
Construction excellent and completely firm.
As you can see there is quite a bit of wear and tear, in accordance with its age, giving a lovely patina.
Baumann stamp underneath seat.
Cleaned and polished with bees wax.
