Drawn by Blanchard and engraved by Geoffroy, it depicts a woman from the rural outskirts of Valladolid, dressed in the traditional costume of Old Castile. She is shown in a vivid red skirt with a finely embroidered white blouse, decorated with blue floral motifs. Draped over her shoulders is a richly woven shawl in deep red and green tones with tasselled ends, suggesting both warmth and elegance. Her red cap, accented with gold trim and a blue ribbon, adds a note of regional charm, while the blue stockings and modest leather shoes complete the ensemble.
