The finely potted earthenware bodies carry an ivory glaze with even craquelure, richly finished in cobalt blue, polychrome enamels and soft gold. Two alternating panels depict a serene mountain pagoda landscape and a chrysanthemum garden alive with butterflies. Painting is precise, gilding flawless, and the white chrysanthemum motifs on the shoulders particularly accomplished. Undersides with the red TASHIRO mark.
