This delicate miniature—measuring only 3.5 cm high by 4.5 x 4.8 cm in diameter—depicts a hand-enameled countryside landscape in shades of green, yellow, and violet, with trees and fields bathed in golden light. The subtlety of the color gradation and the delicacy of the enamel demonstrate the mastery of the Daum workshop, one of the leading exponents of the Nancy school, along with Gallé.

The body has a satin finish and is partially translucent, with a softly frosted texture, typical of the period. The base is engraved with the Daum Nancy signature and the Cross of Lorraine.

A jewel of tiny proportions but great presence, ideal for collectors of early 20th-century French glass.
