Ivory ground with fine craquelure, lavishly painted in enamels and gilt in the kinrande manner. Alternating scenes of birds in blossom and cranes beside water are bound by rich textile-pattern gold bands dotted with mon.

Bases with Shimazu crest above Hododa cartouche (one rubbed).
