A splendid table lamp (or bedside lamp) with the iconic "Mushroom" shape. A piece of Murano glass design, estimated to date back to the 1970s.
Subject and Style: Pure Modernist/Space Age design. The entire surface is covered with an elegant spiral decoration.
Material and Finish: Made entirely of blown Murano glass. The finish is a glossy white milky glass, with a tone-on-tone (white-on-white) swirl decoration that creates a magnificent three-dimensional effect, especially when the lamp is turned on.
Base: The globular base serves as a sturdy support. The lampshade (the "cap" of the mushroom) simply rests on the base, allowing for easy bulb replacement.
Ideal as a bedside lamp in a bedroom, as a mood light in a living room, or for collectors of 1970s (Space Age) design and Murano glass.
