Monogrammed Château Andirons, Burgundy, 18th Century
A magnificent pair of andirons (“landiers”) from a château in Burgundy, dating from the 18th century.
Hand-forged in solid iron, they embody both strength and refinement — a striking example of French fireplace craftsmanship.
Each piece is topped with finely turned copper finials, giving the ensemble a warm, noble gleam.
The uprights feature hooks and notches for holding grates or spits — once used to roast game or poultry by the fire.
