This pair of gilt bronze and cloisonné enamel ewers is a striking testament to the decorative refinement of the Napoleon III era. Each ewer boasts a graceful silhouette: a generous body finely decorated with brass floral motifs complemented by pink and blue enamel, surmounted by a slender spout. The gilt bronze handles are sculpted in the form of intertwined serpents. The meticulously crafted gilt bronze also adorns the upper parts of the bodies, forming raised leaves. The sculpted leaf base rests on small gadrooned feet, completing the ensemble with harmony and balance. This pair of ewers will appeal to collectors, enthusiasts of 19th-century art, or decorators seeking unique pieces steeped in history.
