Lithograph on wove paper realized in 1846. Signed and dated in the plate. Light overall foxing and toning consistent with age, more pronounced in the margins; slight water stain visible in the upper right corner; the image area itself remains clean and well-preserved. This delicate lithograph by Auguste Raffet presents a panoramic view of the Tatar village of Aloutka, framed by the rugged Crimean landscape and distant mountains. The composition, which juxtaposes pastoral activity in the foreground with the fortified hilltop settlement and sailing ships on the horizon, captures the romantic fascination of 19th-century Europe with the exoticism and strategic allure of the Crimean Peninsula. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
