Wonderful example of the early functionalism that dominated Danish furniture design in the beginning of the Danish modern era. Karl Schröder was working for Fritz Hansen in the 1930s and very few works from his hands is known today. Made from bentwood and woven seagrass cord. They are both worn, but structurally sound. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
