This antique railway technical lantern, model Nord 924, is made of bronze. It features a prismatic body with clean lines and transparent glass panels on three of its four sides. The lantern was crafted by Albert Butin. Inside, it retains the cavity for the oil burner, whose flame projected light through the glass to signal or illuminate work areas in stations and on tracks.

The design includes a domed top with a perforated ventilation system and a semicircular handle for carrying or hanging.
