The central body is … Read more Confraternity ballot box from Tuscany, dating back to the 1800s, made of turned and carved catwood. The central body is shaped like a small barrel, into which hands were inserted to insert the ballot into one of the two cavities connected to the drawer below. On the front, the words "YES" and "NO" are written, indicating the vote. Supported by four curled feet, it features a rear handle and carved parts at both ends, highlighted by an ebonized finish. Used by a confraternity, this ballot box was used to collectively decide the community's decisions. In good condition. See less
