Color lithograph realized by Max Ernst in 1974. Not signed. as issued. Printed by Atelier Pierre Chave in Vence, France. Excellent condition. This lithograph was realized by the artist in 1974 for éditions XXe Siècle - Le Surrealisme I - XLII - 74 . The artwork represents an abstract composition typical of Ernst's style. Gualtieri di San Lazzaro (Giuseppe Papa, 1904-1974), editor, collector, and critic, gave life to a major magazine of contemporary art: he founded and directed the magazine XXe Siècle , published in Paris since 1938, dedicating each issue to a different theme of contemporary art and illustrating it with original graphics by masters such as Arp, Henri Laurens, Miró, Klee, Moore, Marino Marini, Magnelli, Picasso etc. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
