A collection of units from the iconic Royal System modular shelving series originally designed by Poul Cadovius in 1948 and manufactured by his own company. This pioneering shelf system won the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and silver medal in Milan in 1957.
Finished in teak with solid teak wall rails and black-coated steel shelf hangers. This collection includes a cocktail cabinet unit with a distinctive basket-weave front, an internal drawer, melamine interior floor and mirrored back; a sliding-door cabinet with adjustable shelf; record cabinet; glass-fronted sliding-door display cabinet; and a selection of shelves.
Very good original condition. No restorations. A few faint ring marks on some shelves.
This set includes 5 x 175.5cm wall rails; 1 x drop-front cocktail cabinet with drawer 42.5h x 37.5d; 1x glass-door cabinet 56h x 24d; 1 x record cabinet 42.5h x 37.5d; 1 x sliding-door cabinet 42.5h x 37.5d; 4 x 24cm deep shelves; 4 x 20cm deep shelves; 1 x 37.5cm deep shelf. All shelf hangers and supports. All units 80cm wide. Overall width 324.5cm. This piece has an attribution mark,
