Pencil drawing on paper realized by Pierre Olivier Dubaut in the mid-20th Century. Not signed. The drawing on the reverse side shows a very light first outline of the same figure, confirming it was likely a preparatory sketch. Dubaut was a French painter, draughtsman, and illustrator. He trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and became known for his sensitive pencil and ink drawings, watercolours, and paintings. He travelled extensively, depicting landscapes, everyday scenes, and figures from French rural and coastal life. Dubaut exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and other Paris Salons, earning recognition especially for his draughtsmanship and expressive line. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
