Pair of antique Italian majolica trays with a green bouquet decoration, Ferniani manufacture, late 1700s. Both feature a large, smooth, flat-bottomed bowl, a wide brim, light ribbing, and a shaped rim. The decoration features a green bouquet placed on one side between the bowl and the brim. Three smaller bouquets are painted on the other three sides, while tiny sprigs are scattered across the remaining surface. A fillet marks the rim. Painted in black and green with a third firing. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
