This is an exquisite vintage burr walnut pedestal desk dating from the second half of the 20th Century. This desk has been accomplished in the Victorian manner and was beautifully made by a craftsman from burr walnut. The top is inset with a superb inset gold tooled leather writing surface and the brass drop handles are typical of the period and add elegance to this sumptuous item. The desk features three drawers in the frieze with a drawer above a double depth filing drawer in one pedestal, and three drawers in the other.
