France / 18th Century / Chest / oak / Antique / French Provincial
An elegant 18th-century French provincial chest, handcrafted from richly patinated wood that beautifully reflects its age and history. This charming piece features clean, balanced proportions and subtly molded panels, characteristic of rural craftsmanship from southern France.
The slanted lid opens to reveal generous interior storage, making it both decorative and functional — ideal for use as a blanket chest, coffee table, or statement storage piece in a refined interior.
The chest retains its original iron side handles and lockplate; however, the key is not present. Its warm tone, simple lines, and authentic surface wear give it an inviting presence, perfectly suited to both traditional and eclectic interiors.
