Bang in the 1960s. While echoing the familiar shapes of lamps, particularly oil lamps, the "hyggelamp" candle holders distinguish themselves through their vibrant colors and all-glass construction. Holmegaard's glass artisans offer us a pop, invigorating, and fresh take on a classic light fixture. Once lit, the candle holder plays with transparency, and we particularly love this two-tone red and white version.

this scandinavian lamp or candle holder features a clear red glass base and a multi-layered glass removable shade. It is in very good condition. Designed by jacob e. Bang and manufactured in denmark by the kastrup holmegaard glassworks in the 1960s, the red glass is bright, luminous, and full of energy. The diffuser is made of white multi-layered glass and is removable to allow a candle to be placed on the base. The candle holder still has its label on the base.
