It is entirely hand-decorated using the rostrato technique: individual glass points were pulled into relief to achieve this spectacular 3D effect. This technique is typically Venetian and requires highly skilled artisans. Indeed, the artisans must work incredibly quickly to pull all the points when the temperature is sufficiently high. Its textured, sculptural finish plays with light and reflections. The thick-walled glass produces numerous iridescent reflections. Furthermore, the photos don't do it justice; it is far more beautiful in person.
