These Venetian vases are entirely hand-decorated using the rostrato technique: individual glass points are pulled in relief to achieve this spectacular 3D effect. This technique is typically Venetian and requires highly skilled artisans. Indeed, the artisans must work very quickly to pull all the points when the temperature is high enough. Their textured, sculptural finish plays with light and reflections. The thick-walled glass produces numerous iridescent reflections. Furthermore, the photos don't do them justice; they are far more beautiful in person.
