This modernist bar cart was designed by Art Deco designer Jacques Adnet (1901-1984) in France in the 1930s. Typical of Adnet designs it has two handles made of solid rods and a mounting technique in which no screws are visible. The two levels are made from mirrored glass mounted in a chrome-plated metal frame. The four vertical square tubes are also made of chromed brass. It remains in a good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
