An exceptional and highly collectible lithograph by Pablo Picasso, created for his celebrated La Comédie Humaine series and published by Verve in 1953. Dated 18.12.53, this work comes from one of the most important artist–publisher collaborations of the 20th century, produced under the direction of Tériade at the legendary Mourlot atelier in Paris.
This example shows clear evidence of having been pulled from an original Verve publication, retaining the authentic paper, tone, and plate quality expected of mid-century Verve prints.
Pencil signature.
