Recovered from a turn of the century New Orleans mansion. This cast iron fireplace door was used in the summer to cover the fireplace opening. It has a heavily embossed design with a central medallion. There are two knobs for easy removal. The top apron is slightly arched.
Use for its original purpose or hang on your wall for an interesting sculptural design.
The screen measures 20 inches wide and 26 inches tall. Naturally aged metal patina.
