This is a beautiful vintage tea bowl from the Aoyama Kiln, part of the Ko-Imari / Arita ceramic tradition from Kyushu, Japan.
The bowl features a deep matte indigo-blue glaze, subtly textured with natural kiln variations, giving it a calm and refined wabi-sabi aesthetic. The exterior is decorated with a delicate plum blossom motif, symbolizing resilience and elegance in Japanese culture.
The piece comes with its original signed wooden tomobako (storage box) bearing the kiln and artist inscriptions, which indicates authenticity and provenance.
