Departing from more ornate designs typical of Victorian furniture, the chest is characterized by simple, straight lines. There are six doors designed with recessed facades, each trimmed with a center brass rectangle. Structurally, there are three tiers of vertical storage spaces. Each door opens to a cupboard furbished with shelves as a later modification. The mahogany wood body has aged beautifully over the years. It has a rich tan-orange hue. The cornice and base were a later addition and have a darker tone that complements the mahogany beautifully.

Condition notes:
