Chulucanas pottery is made in the Chulucanas region of far Northern Peru. This is an ancient pottery style dating back to pre-Incan times. The current pottery is still made of the same 3 items-----sand, clay, and mango leaves. The fourth component------climate------leaves its imprint in the final colors and texture of the product.
This vase is signed on the bottom by the maker. and it is estimated to be from the late 1990s to the early 2000's.
This vase is 9" diameter x 12"high with a 2.5" mouth
