Really nice large Royal Worcester Evesham serving piece. It is a stock pot I believe, as it has a hole in the lid for releasing heat/steam. The Evesham design is on both sides, featuring the ear of corn. The gold trim on the top and on the two handles is in good condition. It shows little signs of use. This is a functional item for the kitchen as it is oven/dishwasher safe. The bottom is marked: Royal Worcester Flameproof Porcelain, Oven to Table Ware Dishwasher Proof, Evesham. An additional stamp in the circle says Made in England. It also is stamped with the shape and size; shape is 29 and size is not legible.
Regarding sizing, the pot itself is 6.75 at the top/opening and 6.5 tall without the lid.
What a great statement piece! It could be used for soups or casseroles, etc., as a cookie jar, as a centerpiece, for beverages, or any kind of dry storage. It's an impressive size!
