The metal base is made of cast aluminum. Rubber-type wheels allow the sofa to be easily moved or converted from a sofa to bed. The mattresses are medium firm for comfort as a sofa or bed. When flat, the bed approximates a queen size mattress. There is no henious back bar famous among convertible sofas. The covers are made from a cream-colored textured frabric. The zippered covers may be easily removed for dry cleaning. The sofa is well made and in excellent condition for its age and use. The slip covers are clean. The Tacchini maker's mark is found on the sofa. Dimensions: 32" H X 78" W X 55" D X seat height 15.5". See less
