ornamentation. The upper third is crowned by an elegant spout fitted with a hinged floral
lid, its sculptural motifs flowing seamlessly into a superbly modeled handle. The lower
body is wrapped in an ornate pewter panel featuring the serene profile of a maiden with
cascading hair—an iconic Art Nouveau aesthetic rendered with exceptional artistry.
Crafted for WMF in the early 1900s, the piece bears the firm’s hallmark: a rear-facing
flying angel holding a trumpet, encircled and accompanied by the letters AA in the lower
right quadrant.
Impressive in scale at 16.5" tall, with a 7" span from spout to handle and a 6.25" base
diameter (weight 4.4 lbs), this decanter offers both presence and refined beauty.
