Bring bold Himalayan color into your space with this early 20th-century Tibetan hand-painted trunk, richly decorated in deep oxblood red with snow leopards, peonies, clouds, and Buddhist auspicious emblems. This traditional chest was originally used for storing clothing, textiles, or ceremonial items in nomadic or monastery households across Tibet.
Beautifully aged, the front panel features two snow leopards flanking a central victory vase - symbols of protection, abundance, and good fortune. The sides display classic Tibetan lotus motifs in vibrant greens, yellows, and golds. The ironwork is fully hand-forged, including the decorative lock plate and strapping.
The interior retains its original dark-stained wood, showing the oxidation and age expected from a 100-140 year old piece. Perfect as a coffee table, end-of-bed blanket chest, or boho statement storage.
