I am taken by the reflections on the wet pavement, the lights and the darks. A red umbrella can make my day. This painting was inspired by a French town in a spring rain. The palette knife painting technique gives it a feeling of not quite being able to make out the individuals because of the rain. This creates an abstract feel to the piece. See less
