The 268 pp book is considerably foxed throughout, but remain legible. There are 5 portrait etchings included. The former owner attempted to erase their initials, and a portion of the worn leather spine is missing. The "bold, contemporary" design of the small antique book's cover is mesmerizing (at least to me). It's a rare variant binding of the popular book, blending affordability with artistry. It's modern-looking design makes it stand out among more traditional bindings of the same book.Other than the aging noted, the book is sturdy & intact. Of interest to miniature and small book collectors, as well as collectors of early 19th C antiques. . An object of curiosity (anti-King) and the oldest book in our collection.
