This signed Gilded Age portrait of a young man, dating to 1866, is truly a gem. An oil on canvas, it captures a handsome young gentleman, clearly a member of the upper class of the period, portrayed with elegance and precision.

The painting is unframed and signed in the bottom right corner. It remains in remarkably well-preserved condition, with virtually no discoloration or surface markings — a strong indication that it has been kept in secure and stable conditions throughout its long history.
