Up for your consideration is a Harry Bertoia for Knoll Bird lounge chair with matching ottoman. Circa 1960. My mother-in-law was the original owner and it was a smoke-free home. This still has the original upholstery.and has a black metal frame. The chair is in excellent structural condition, however, the upholstery is in need of updating. There is significant pilling in the fabric, and the fabric no longer conforms tightly to the metal frame. There are several shops and sites that sell full replacement upholstery covers for this chair at very reasonable prices.
Approximate Chair dimensions: H 37 inches W 38 inches D 37 inches Seat height 14.5 inches
Approximate Ottoman dimensions: H 14 inches W 24 inches, D 17 inches
Please note that this chair is unmarked. Although my mother-in-law was the original owner, we were not able to find any paperwork associated with the original purchase.
