This exquisite vintage Le Tallec Paris porcelain box exemplifies the atelier’s signature artistry and refinement. Hand-painted in a deep royal blue hue and elegantly speckled with hand-applied gold accents, it reflects the timeless sophistication for which Le Tallec pieces are celebrated. A finely detailed gilded metal frame encircles the rim and hinged lid, enhancing the piece’s luxurious aesthetic. Crafted in a cylindrical, jar-like form, the box opens to reveal a smooth interior—ideal for holding jewelry, small keepsakes, or decorative display.
Measuring 5 inches high by 2.5 inches wide and deep, it is both compact and striking in presence. The underside bears the artist’s hand-painted signature, a hallmark of authenticity and craftsmanship. Good vintage condition with a few areas of wear to the painted knob top. Le Tallec was a renowned Parisian porcelain atelier founded in 1930 by Camille Le Tallec (1906–1991). Trained at the École du Louvre, Le Tallec specialized in creating hand-painted, Limoges-quality porcelain with intricate decoration inspired by 18th-century French designs. The company quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional craftsmanship and luxurious gilded patterns, attracting aristocratic and elite clientele worldwide. Each piece was hand-signed and numbered, often featuring richly colored motifs and 24K gold accents. In 1961, Le Tallec began a collaboration with Tiffany & Co., producing exclusive porcelain designs for the American luxury brand. This partnership eventually led Tiffany to acquire Le Tallec’s atelier in 1990, ensuring the continuation of its artistry under the Tiffany name. Today, Le Tallec porcelain remains highly collectible, prized for its hand-painted detail, Parisian heritage, and association with timeless French elegance.
A stunning example of mid-century French porcelain, this Le Tallec creation embodies the enduring elegance and meticulous detail that continue to captivate collectors worldwide.
