A vintage set of eight coffee cups and saucers in the “Casolare” pattern by Corso dei Fiori, hand painted in Italian maiolica earthenware, circa 1980s–1990s. Each piece is decorated with a stylized Tuscan mission landscape framed by cobalt scrollwork and broad ochre ground in oxide pigments beneath a tin glaze.
The forms are typical of small-batch Corso dei Fiori production, with thrown or slip-molded bodies and hand-applied handles. Casolare is one of the less commonly encountered patterns from this workshop, whose output was produced in limited quantities for boutique tableware retailers. A complete matched service of eight is unusually scarce on the secondary market.
