This richly detailed piece features a classical neoclassical scene inspired by the style of Angelica Kauffman, one of the most celebrated artists of the late 18th century. The central tableau—women preparing a noble figure with a child—shows the characteristic romantic, soft, and refined style associated with Kauffman’s work, beautifully rendered here on porcelain.

Surrounding the central medallion is an ornate border of deep teal panels, lavish raised gilt decoration, and floral cartouches—all hallmarks of fine Austrian porcelain. The gilding and hand-painted elements remain crisp and luminous.

Mark: Imperial Crown China Austria (with double-headed eagle), a backstamp used primarily in the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890–1915) by several Austrian decorating studios producing luxury porcelain for export.
