Handcrafted blanket by Mamie Wachob, circa 1960s, possibly slightly earlier. The blanket is made from your typical cotton-poly blended yarn. Set on a chic black and white backdrop which really ties in with most color schemes. The retro mid century design gives you that at home feel that you get when visiting your grandma’s house on the weekend or during the holiday season. This was not an item that was made quickly, very few if any machines were used in the making of it. This blanket is a labor of love and I’m glad to offer it to the next person who will love it for the remainder of their days. It’s survived ~60/70 years, I’m sure it’s got another 60/70 more to go.
Fun fact about the creator of this piece, she lived to be 100 years old! Born in 1900, died in 2000. May Mrs. Wachob rest in peace.
