Charming and collectible Cat and Mouse salt and pepper shaker set designed and handcrafted by Emilia Castillo, daughter of the legendary Mexican silversmith Antonio Castillo of Los Castillo fame. This whimsical duo is made of fine porcelain inlaid with pure silver (Plata Pura) and signed Emilia Castillo, Plata Pura, Mexico “H.”
Emilia Castillo continues the rich artistic tradition of Taxco, Guerrero, where her family’s workshop became internationally renowned for its innovation in Mexican silver design. Like her father, Emilia bridges craftsmanship and imagination, integrating natural motifs, stylized animal forms, and mixed materials in her work — often combining silver, ceramics, and stone in playful yet sophisticated compositions.
