A stunning pair of fine Chinese porcelain figures, ca. early 20th century, later adapted into lamps with high quality vintage brass bases and fittings. The porcelain is remarkable in its delicacy and wonderful coloring, showing the the embroidered details of the traditional silk robes in fantastic detail. The bases are also very handsome: two-tiered plinths with filigree borders, setting off the figures with both a flattering form and a glow from the polished brass. Shades are new: slubby natural linen texture with cream cotton borders. Figures are in very good antique condition, no issues, only slight rubbing in a couple of spots to the glazes.
