There are two rattan-strap hoops but the lid does not indicate that it is missing a corresponding element to secure lid to the basket. I assume the loops served another purpose. However, the distinctive aspect of this basket is its rich variation in color of the herringbone and as such has great visual impact in a sizable basket. It measures: 16" High at top of lid, 14" High at top of mouth, and a 11 1/2" by 11 1/2" base which is its largest dimension. See less
