Offering for sale this positively divine antique French Empire gueridon accent table with the following fine features:
- Made in France circa late-1800s
- Made of solid hand-carved mahogany without veneers
- From the Napolean I period in the style of French Empire
- Measures 32.5" height with a 21.5" wide top
- Elaborate seated 20" white veined French verte marble top
- Bronze d'or (gilt bronze) laurel wreath garland around the perimeter of the apron
- Three straight hand-carved tapered legs adorned on top by bronze d'or ormolu mounted busts of female caryatids and palmettes
- Each leg sits atop a gilded bronze claw foot
- The tripod gueridon shelf section features bronze d'or palmettes and a center spire and rests atop three substantial gilded bronze round table feet
- The table is structurally sound, solid and flush
- The marble top has a few chips along the perimeter, which are hardly visible once seated
- There are of course numerous dings, dents and age-related wood splits (please consult photographs), which to some, including myself, add to the character and authenticity of this magnificent antique French Empire table
